The Pioneer of Private Involvement in Natural Gas Infrastructure to Support Indonesia’s Energy Sector

Established in February 2004, PT. Sumber Petrindo Perkasa has an objective to become a leading gas distributor company with a major investment in a gas transfer station located in Cepu, Blora, Central Java, and a 20“stretching approximately 122.5 Km gas pipeline from Cepu to Semarang parallel to the railroad in accordance to our agreement with PT Kereta Api Indonesia.

PT. Sumber Petrindo Perkasa entered the operational phase in May 2014. We currently supply a contractual volume of natural gas purchased from PT Pertamina EP located in Gundih Block, Cepu, Central Java. We deliver our gas through our pipeline which acts as a backbone of gas distribution in Central Java to our sole customer PT Indonesia Power as fuel for their Tambak Lorok power plant.

With over 10 years in the business and a commitment to Zero Accidents, SPP proven safety and reliability with standard procedure.

We have supported the oil-to-gas conversion to decrease the subsidized oil usage for electricity purposes and fulfillment of net zero emissions with a green environment plant area with a total carbon absorption of 6677 tons every month.

Gas Pipeline System

We are the first and only private company that owns and operates gas transmission infrastructure in Indonesia, with a pipeline that stretches from Cepu to Semarang. We work together with Pertamina and Indonesia Power to deliver energy to the Central Java area.

To ensure the highest security and monitoring standard, we are using an integrated SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system in our operation. This technology enables us to completely supervise and control our entire pipeline infrastructure through a centralized command center. It is equipped with smart, automated features that minimize risk and optimize safety in the daily operation.
