The Pioneer of Private Involvement in Natural Gas Infrastructure to Support Indonesia’s Energy Sector

Established in February 2004, PT. Sumber Petrindo Perkasa has an objective to become a leading gas distributor company with a major investment in a gas transfer station located in Cepu, Blora, Central Java, and a 20“stretching approximately 122.5 Km gas pipeline from Cepu to Semarang parallel to the railroad in accordance to our agreement with PT Kereta Api Indonesia.

PT. Sumber Petrindo Perkasa entered the operational phase in May 2014. We currently supply a contractual volume of natural gas purchased from PT Pertamina EP located in Gundih Block, Cepu, Central Java. We deliver our gas through our pipeline which acts as a backbone of gas distribution in Central Java to our sole customer PT Indonesia Power as fuel for their Tambak Lorok power plant.

With over 10 years in the business and a commitment to Zero Accidents, SPP proven safety and reliability with standard procedure.

We have supported the oil-to-gas conversion to decrease the subsidized oil usage for electricity purposes and fulfillment of net zero emissions with a green environment plant area with a total carbon absorption of 6677 tons every month.

Our Leaders

Graduated from ITB, Mr. Rudy started his career in PT. Arun NGL Co. as a Process Engineer and promoted to his last position in the company as a Project Coordinator for one of their largest project in North Aceh. He continued to make achievements PT. Badak NGL Co. and PT. Medco Energy shortly afterwards as an Assistant for President Director that handled international projects, including joint venture for methanol plant in Myanmar and oil refinery in Kazakhstan.

Following his success, he joined PT. International Business Company as a Managing Director, where he was trusted to run an oil refinery in Sulawesi and Batam, as well as establishing a new trading company for oil and petrochemical. In 2003, he joined PT. Banten Inti Gasindo as a Managing Director, before he established PT. Sumber Petrindo Perkasa (SPP) in 2004.
